Membership

About 80% of the residents of Wallington belong to the Association but new members are always welcome – good mandate strength is always useful when dealing with planning issues, for example. You do not have to live in Wallington to be a member however you do need to be resident or work in the area to be on the Executive Committee i.e. to be a trustee of the charity. The annual subscription is modest (currently £4 single and £6 joint), and is levied mainly to offset the costs of administration and the publication of the Village magazine the 'Once in a While' three times per year. The membership is served ‘on the ground’ by a network of Street Reps who act as a first point of information and feedback. They also collect subscriptions, distribute the magazine and any ‘flyers’ advertising events etc. To see who your street rep is please click on the Contacts in the menu.
