What the WVCA does now
The Executive Committee of WVCA works through subcommittees and working parties. It meets monthly and its agenda covers membership, entertainment, planning, environment, Fete, Village Hall and Finance. One of the first jobs of a new Committee year is our Walkround with Hampshire County Council/Fareham Borough Council Officers and our Ward Councillor(s). This is an annual ‘institution’ which enables us to raise issues of concern in the village and to seek practical, co-operative solutions. A wide range of topics is always discussed. Our current aims cover long term security of the Association, the future of the historic Water Meadow, flood prevention, arts and entertainment activities, motorway noise issues, a weight limit on Pinks Hill and traffic calming and parking measures.
